India’s Progressive/ Mathcore quartet- ORCHID finally released their much awaited album 'Miasma' on January 10, 2019!
Orchid was formed in 2011 with an intention to play Progressive Metal with strong undertones of Mathcore and Avant-Garde Music while addressing social/ political happenings thematically. The band finally released their much-awaited full length album- ‘Miasma’ on January 10, 2019.
Speaking of the album, the band comments, “The album was mixed by the Mumbai-based Apurv Agrawal (Shepherd, Death by Fungi, False Flag) and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Atheist, Origin, Krallice, Dysrhythmia) at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves studio in New York. The artwork was done by the band’s drummer and contains elements from every song the song on the album. Unlike the previous EP which touched upon themes of techno-surrealism, this album is more straightforward with socio political themes.”
